Jacklah River

Last     Next        Return To Island Rivers

The west coast rivers do not get more remote than this. The Jacklah river isScaly Vase Chanterelle Sooty Grousequite small and flows into the Muchalat Inlet at Jacklah Bay, south of Gold river. A boat is required to reach this river. There is a small summer run of Steelhead and a fall run of Coho in this river.

There are a few Rainbows and Sea Run Cutthroats also.

Camping is rustic but you will have it all to yourself most times. You will find some very nice forests of big trees here and plenty of wildlife and wildflowers so bring your camera.

The scenery here is just awesome and the abundance of birds here will both amaze and surprise you.
