Heather Lake is set up in the mountains and is hard to reach. You must go on
foot to get to this lake, Using the blocked roads north of Cowichan Lake will take you there.
Given the hard route to get to this beautiful little lake set in the clouds, the fishing is incredible and there are some nice size Rainbow and Cutthroat trout there. This is a deep cold lake and this breeds nice size fish, the Rainbows can reach 1.5 kg and give you an incredible fight.
There is plenty of wild life for you here, birds of all kinds and bears and deer so bring your camera with you.
