Claude Elliot Lake

Last      Next          Return To Island Lakes

Claude Elliot lake is set below Mount Ashwood  Like a jewel on a ring. This remote lake requires a fair bit of bushwhacking to reach it.

Downy WoodpeckerThe lake is a fly only fishing lake. With the hard hike to reach added to the fly only fishing makes this lake a good fishing spot. The fish are small though, not much over 30cm in size. Blue Jay

The lake is surrounded by The Claude Elliot Lake Provincial Park, The Claude Elliot Ecological reserve and the Mount Elliot Ecological reserve.

There are some good hiking trails around the lake.

There is plenty of wildlife here and you can see black bears, roosevelt elk, black tail deer, raccoons and lots of birds so bring your hiking boots and don't forget your camera.
