Return To Birds

Eagle, Vancouver Island, Photo By Robert LoganThese birds are the lords of the skies.  The fierce warriors of the air realm.

Birds of prey, are predators that catch other animals with their strong feet and talons. They have excellent eyesight and hearing, and sharp curved beaks.

They are the Hawks and Falcons, The Owls and Eagles and all the others known as the Raptors, swift, fearless and very powerful.

Man has sometimes thought of them as cruel and even hunted them for this reason. But like all the wild creatures on our Island, they are but doing what they need to in order to survive.

There is no motive or malicious reason other than survival.
